FAQs

If you’re not finding the answer to your question, please contact us. We’re always here to help.

Is this really free? +
Yes. Every place is fully funded by NEBOSH. There’s no charge to you at any point.
Who can attend? +
Our free support sessions are for self-employed women, women who freelance and women who work in microbusinesses of less than 50 employees who are experiencing peri-menopause or menopause. They are also open to transgender men (AFAB) who are self-employed or working in micro-businesses up to 50 employees and experiencing symptoms.
Do I have to be “in menopause” already? +
No. The sessions are also for those in perimenopause — the years leading up to menopause when symptoms often begin.
What if I’m not sure it’s menopause? +
That’s okay. The session helps you recognise signs and understand the overlap between menopause, stress, and mental health.
When and where do sessions run? +
They’re held online, so you can join from anywhere. New sessions open every month, and we’ll send you the next available date after you register.
How long is the session? +
Three hours, including short breaks. You’ll leave with practical tools you can use straight away.
Do I need any special technology? +
Just a device with internet access. You’ll receive a simple Zoom link and joining instructions by email.
Do I need to turn my camera on? +
Yes please! These sessions are interactive and you will get a lot more out of them if you fully engage with us and the other attendees. Peer support is a very important element of this programme.
Is this a safe space? +
Yes. Every session is confidential, kind, and judgement-free. You’re welcome exactly as you are.
Do I need to talk during the sessions? +
The live sessions are conducted online in groups of 20. They are interactive, with discussions in pairs or groups. Participation is encouraged.
What if I get upset or can’t find the words? +
That’s okay. You can take breaks, stay quiet, or share as little as you want.
What if I can’t attend live? +
Sessions run weekly until October 2026. There are many chances to attend. Join our mailing list for updates.
Can I bring a colleague or friend? +
Yes! If they’re self-employed or in a micro‑business, they can book a free place too.
Do you provide medical advice? +
No. The sessions provide education and signposting, not medical diagnosis or treatment. For medical concerns, speak with a GP or qualified practitioner.
What happens after the workshop? +
You’ll be invited to join our free monthly MenoMinds Academy with continued learning and guest speakers.
Will there be resources to keep? +
Yes — digital handouts, exercises, and links to additional support.
Can I attend again? +
If you can’t attend, you can move to another session — just let us know. If you miss more than once without notice, we cannot offer another place.
Can the training be purchased for larger organisations? +
Yes. Larger organisations can purchase our programmes. Contact info@menominds.co.uk to enquire.
